6 Club Responsible Gaming

Puzzles are best in small doses. Here is how the game is built to stay a pleasant break, and a few habits that help keep it that way.

Built-in balance

Some choices in the game exist mainly to make stopping easy. Each level ends after its set number of moves, so there is a natural pause every few minutes. Nothing expires while you are away: no energy bar refilling, no daily streak to lose, no timed event closing. The daily gift code is a small bonus, not a reason to log in at a set hour, and missing it costs nothing.

  • No shop and nothing to buy, so there is never a reason to spend to continue.
  • No notifications. The game only speaks when you open it.
  • Your level saves after every move, so you can stop halfway without losing anything.

Habits that help

Decide the length first

Before you open the board, pick a number of levels, two or three is plenty, and stop when they are done. It is easier to keep a limit you chose in advance than one you invent while a cascade is going well.

Rest your eyes

Bright jewels on a dark board are easy on the eyes, but any screen tires them. Every twenty minutes, look at something across the room for twenty seconds. Lower the screen brightness in the evening.

Keep the bedroom quiet

A puzzle is a poor sleeping aid. Finish your last level at least half an hour before bed, and leave the phone outside arm's reach if you can.

Watch for the signs

If playing starts to crowd out meals, work, study, sleep or time with people, or if you feel restless when you cannot play, take a longer break. Removing the app from your home screen for a week is a simple reset; your profile will still be there when you return.

For parents

The game has no chat, no adverts, no purchases and collects no personal data, so it is a fairly safe choice for younger players. Agreeing on a level limit together works better than a hard ban, and short levels make the agreement easy to keep: "two levels after homework" is clear to everyone. Phone settings such as Android Digital Wellbeing and iPhone Screen Time can add a daily cap for the browser or the installed app.

Points are for fun only

Scores, VIP levels, badges and gift codes have no money value and cannot be traded, sold or swapped for anything. If a website or message ever offers to buy your points, or to sell you a better score, it is not connected to us. The terms of use say the same in more formal words.

If you or someone close to you is struggling with screen time or compulsive play, talk to a doctor or a counsellor you trust. Reaching out early makes a real difference.
